Gear Guard Advanced
The two enzymes your detergent is probably missing.
Everything Original does, plus lipase which clears the oily residue everyday skin contact leaves behind, cutting off the fuel bacteria rely on.
The only thing that separates the two is lipase, an enzyme that breaks down body oils. Some detergents already include it; most don’t, and few list their ingredients.
If yours does list lipase, Gear Guard Original is all you’re missing. If you're not sure, which is completely normal, Gear Guard Advanced has both, so you’re sorted either way. There is no issue doubling up on lipase!

Know your detergent already has lipase? This is your precision pick, the one enzyme it's still missing.

This is the stuff, right here. This is what you want. You want to start with a good base laundry detergent (with a scent, or lack of scent, that you like) but Gear Guard Advanced brings whatever you use up a couple of levels. Proven by science and experience. Darling of Reddit’s r/laundry community for good reason! For the most awesome results, use warm-to-hot water—if you’re in the US, that probably means warmer water than your standard washer has been using by default. (It’s chemistry.)
Why do you want it? The two enzymes it contains will do the most to help with the normal stains and human-body-generated stinks that are otherwise hard to get out even with a decent detergent. *Especially* that old-linen-closet/back-of-the-drawer grandma smell that keeps coming back. And it has nothing else in there that causes problems, nothing to interact with other laundry chemicals poorly, nothing to prevent clean from happening. Follow the simple directions, and spark the laundry joy.
Tried this product after reading about it on online forums, half expected it to not do much in all honesty
how wrong i was!, on some old white bath towels ive had for many years (washed with powfer plus vanish) upon washing these apparently clean towels with gearguard added to my mix it turned the wash water a quite shocking shade of sickly yellow grey, upon drying theyre as white as snow
even on regular loads of clothes ive had it makes a noticeable difference
well worth it if youre on the fence!
I was worried I would have to throw out some of my husband's favourite shirts. He isn't a smelly guy, but for a few select shirts with thick print, they would just start to really stink going in and coming out of the wash. I had tried clove oil, specalised odour removing detergent but nothing really shifted it until I tried Gear Guard.
Initially the results were a little sporadic, until I tried a double dose. Since then I've been using the recommended capful with each wash and the funk has stayed away. Honestly it saved them from going in the bin so THANK YOU!
I have soft water and a great detergent with enzymes. Biz foams way too much with soft water. I do not need to duplicate the detergent enzymes with FEBU. All I need was the lipase and DNase and this is it working in every temperature. Thank you!
Love this product. For anyone concerned about shopping from Aus to the US, it is quite easy and fast. It is shipped via Aus post, which interfaces seamlessly with USPS. My package arrived in great shape. Also, this product is unscented for those that are sensitive.
